Indie Life in Full Color – Blog

So I can easily prove that it is really easy to blog about just aobut anything. The hard part, which is probably obvious, is writing about something that is possibly of interest to really any other human being. My favorite blog posts are ones where I can learn about something new such as a form/method/process of art or a new idea that I had not previously been in question to question.

I’m now going to pretend that I have readers and not just a bunch of spammers who decided to join for whatever reason. So what would you guys like to hear about, I know that i’m in no way a professional in any respect at all so I don’t really have any connections or well anything. I also really don’t want to just join the ranks of thousands of people who talk about their lives, I really don’t have an all that interesting life. If you’ve gotten thi far you probably know enough about me already or you’d like to. The point of this blog is not to tell you about my life, becasue I can’t possibly see how anyone would want to read that but it’s… well… that’s where you come in.

If you get this far, suggest some ideas that I could write about, or discussion topics.

Portfolio. today I found out that you can relatively easily make a a pretty good looking web gallery through Bridge CS4 (I don’t know about previous versions but that’s mainly because this is the only version I have.) I compiled a group of images that created my portfolio. I plan to print out the digital images and put them in a physical portfolio.

ILiFC photoblog.

I have almost completely redone my website, except for this blog. I hope you all like it, feedback is much appreciated.

ILiFC – Home. I thought it would be a good time to try out a new home page, luckily I can use Dreamweaver now otherwise It’d take to long to do what I did here and I would probably go crazy before finishing and give up. It’s simple for now and that’s what I want I thought i’d add an image just for fun.

I am spending the next 3 and a half weeks at Pratt Intitute’s pre-college program. It feels like college in someways, probably as close as I’ll get before I actually do go to college. I’m planning on going to an art school so it’ll probably be somewhat normal that we have homework that is like well art related.

The elective course that I am taking is photography, which is awesome because that is what I want to actually major in, but probably not actually at Pratt, because it’s a really large school (by my standards).
My homework assignment today was to shoot two rolls of black and white film.

One was supposed to be used to show the use of aperture and depth of field and the other was supposed to show shutter speed and motion. I’m not too confident that I actually tried when I got to the shutter speed roll of film.

My foundations class does not seem too bad, it just seems like we are going to be doing some ordinary stuff and some really not ordinary stuff, apparently we ate making figures out of wooden skewers. I feel like half of our group little to no real experience in art and the other half does and they are confident in their work, I have no clue where I really am at at this point but I have a feeling that I’m probably somewhere in theiddle if that’s is at all possible.

The only reason I’m awake right now is that y roommate is working on his homework with some other kid in our room and they are doing some kind of film project. I hope to be able to go to sleep, in a bed, pretty soon after I finish wiriting this because I don’t really want to keep writing my eyes are starting to heard and I need sleep.

I can’t wait to explore the city some more manhattan and Brooklyn. I also am really happy to discover that the one other guy in my class also actually knows about Lomography also.and so does my roommate. I hope to be asleep at this time tomorrow.

Today was a special day in my high school career, today I finished my AP photography portfolio. Tomorrow will be a specil day also, becasue I “hand” it in. Most of it is digital and on the computer, other than the five pieces that will be sent in for the quality section, so I don’t really know what it is that we are going to be doing tomorrow at around noon when our “test” is.

When you spend so much time, since January (relatively it’s a long time), on one specific project you eventually get bored of it or just can’t come up with anything else creative. While I was sitting at the computer today, from 7:40 to 12, I took the time to take a few macro shots of my jeans but I gave up seeing as I had better things to do. It was a fun adventure that did not really get us anywhere, well i only changed around five of my pictures today. I finished at 11:50 something, our teacher wanted us to finish at noon. I only had to go to two of my classes in the end, chemisty (where we watched a few demonstrations and got yelled, well the class got yelled at) and then art (where we are working on an abstract piece that I wasn’t smart enough to do in charcoal, graphite is taking forever but I’m planing on spending my morning working on it tomorrow since I don’t have to go to classes, I think)

I can’t wait for tomorrow, however I feel bad for everyone who is taking actual AP tests tomorrow.
